ABOUT US

How we got here...

I was born and raised in Bristol, actually a half a mile from here. When I would walk to Chippens Hill Middle School, I walked by this Nursery each day. I always thought the owner, Jerry was very nice and would wave when my friends and I would walk by. My family also loved this place and talked highly of Jerry. I knew that the place held a lot of history for the City of Bristol being known for the Mums. When I would see photographs of the Bristol Nurseries, I would compare where the photos were taken as to where the new road and houses stand. I never thought I would be doing what I am doing today.

At an early age, my husband and I discovered that our first born was very allergic to a lot of the chemicals, sadly, commonly found in our food today. After a lot of research and experiences we had no choice but to always have cleaner products and food in our home, which I am now grateful for. I’ve seen firsthand the incredible benefits of clean, natural products for healing & longevity.  What was once something that was done out of pure necessity- turned into my passion.

Prior to The Garden at Pinehurst Farm, I was working at my father’s construction company for 12 years. After working there for that long and not being able to be creative, I spoke to my father and told him I needed out.  I was not doing what I love or what I’m passionate about.  We quickly started having a conversation about what it was that I really wanted to do.

All of my ideas were in healing & providing positivity to my community, Bristol, CT.  He quickly remembered he bought a barn… with different plans for it originally but offered it to me to fulfill this longing to provide this positivity to the community.  After seeing the space, and the beautiful greenhouse, I knew it was perfect.

A lot of sweat and tears came into creating our destination. I have learned so much and am learning more each day.

A perfect oasis of local makers & their creations for our shop, lively plants, and a place to partake in workshops, healing, transformational yoga- with so much more to come.  I’m grateful to have the opportunity to let my passion shine through and share with you, my community, all that Bristol has to offer. When you visit most of the time you will see my daughters with me, helping out and learning. Although starting this endeavor many sacrifices have been made, but having the girls watch this business be built in front them with the passion and principals we believe as a family has been more gratifying than I ever thought.

When you support a small business – you support a dream.

THANK YOU

Come experience the destination that will decorate every area of your life.

We look forward to growing with you.

Meet Coal

He is the shop dog and is here with us a lot. We do take him to the Bristol Dog Park that is next door.

You will see us there many times during the week – as it helps tire him out!
